Today I wanted to express how grateful I am for good people. I've been working on a big project these past few weeks which is good for us but means alot of work for me. Tim has been patiently taking care of Dean as I get my work done and I have been putting in late days at work and late nights at home.
Today I got home pretty exhausted dreading the thougth of having to make dinner when a few minutes after I arrived there was a knock on the door. Standing there were our home teachers, who not only had come earlier today to drywall our living room but also stood at our doorstep with dinner. YES DINNER! All I had to do was warm it up and we had a delightful dinner, complete with salad and homemade bread, with honey from their bee's and fresh eggs from their chickens. It was absolutely amazing.
How grateful I am for good people that think outside their ownselves to bring a little joy (or in this case a little dinner) to someone else. I hope to be good people to someone, perhaps this will inspire all of us to do a little something good for someone today.
How to know when its time to transition your toddler to a toddler bed?
Remodel Phase 1: adding a second story
So for Tim's birthday he said he wanted to have a demolition party. Friday night (Feb 6th - yeah this post is late) the guys came over to the house with all their tools. Dean and I went to sleep over at Teresa's because we knew that guys with power tools meant we would be getting no sleep. Good thing we did, the guys stayed up till 3:30 am and added a second story to the house.
BEFORE PICTURES

This is oficially phase 1 of our remodel. I am so thankful to be here and surrounded by such great friends. It is so exciting to see our little cabin finally shaping up and turning into our home.
We also got our water issues fixed and how have a real electric heater (rather than the water on demand). AHHHH, I love the person that invented hot water :)
Again, thanks to Mike and Rob for taking time off from their schedules to willingly come and help us build our home. You guys are awesome, we love you guys.
Here are some pictures of the progress....I am not posting any after photos until its all done so that you can see the before and after. Lets just say we now have 2 bedrooms upstairs.

Im Online...FINALLY
After a few weeks of "figthing" with the phone and internet company, many hours spent on the phone, Tim finally had to call the "boss man" and use the phrase "You are really starting to piss me off".....the next day they called us back and told us we would have internet within a week. Today they came and installed everything and I am finally back online. I feel like me again.
So now that I can communicate with the outside world, I will be posting new picts and videos of our remodel this weekend.
Come back soon!

Lil' Stinker
After months of teaching him how to say "mommy", a lifetime of changing his diapers, feeding him, playing with him, bathing him, taking care of him when he is sick, loving him..... these are the words he choose to speak first.
Turn up the volume, this is lovely.
